Collective Opens Doors Friday for Co-working Day

The social justice-centered collective space, Make Shift Boston, is welcoming community members Aug. 9 to share space for the afternoon.

A part of International Co-working Day, Make Shift Boston is offering it's table and couch space as well as Wi-Fi to anyone looking to for a place to work noon to 5 p.m.

Collective member Matthew Cohen, an activist surrounding mental health issues, has been a dues paying member of the space for a few months and has had the opportunity to learn about other social justice issues through co-working.

"I get to be around other people working as artists and activist and hear a lot of other issues people are working on," Cohen said. "It is a very intersectional space."

Cohen hopes that co-working day will not only allow people to network and meet the collective's members but also promote a sense of camaraderie.

Make Shift Boston is located at 549 Columbus Ave. RSVP to Renessa at renessac@gmail.com to ensure a space at Friday's co-working hours.
