(BOSTON MA, September 10, 2013) – Head chef Jeff Martino of The Franklin Café, located in the South End, will participate in the American Liver Foundation New England Division’s 5th annual Flavors of Boston charity event on Friday, September 20, 2013 at the Seaport Boston Hotel.
“Flavors of Boston” is a culinary experience that goes beyond the traditional gala and provides each table of attendees with a local chef who will prepare their signature dish tableside. Attendees will unleash their inner "foodies" and experience a distinct evening of dining while helping to support the American Liver Foundation. Chef Martino of The Franklin Café will serve slow seared Hudson Valley Duck Breast with wilted greens, hay-smoked mushrooms and black garlic.
The sold-out event takes place on Friday, September 20 beginning at 6:30 p.m. at the exquisite Seaport Boston Hotel (1 Seaport Lane, Boston, MA 02210). Guests will be treated to a cocktail reception and dessert party, along with the evening program, silent and live auctions and live music. Proceeds from event benefits the American Liver Foundation and helps fund the research, education and advocacy efforts of the American Liver Foundation.
The American Liver Foundation New England Division will recognize Ronald C. Renaud., Jr., president and CEO of Idenix Pharmaceuticals, for his countless contributions to the organization at Flavors of Boston. The event will be hosted by WCVB NewsCenter 5’s weekend co-anchor Jim Lokay.
