"Resurrection" to be preformed at Cathedral of the Holy Cross

“Resurrection”, a musical cantata, is the inspirational story of Simon Peter and the
forgiveness of Jesus Christ. The performance leads the audience on an
unforgettable spiritual journey with St. Peter as he faces his martyrdom. Peter recalls his own experiences with Christ as well as those he shared with Mary
Magdalene and the disciples as they followed Jesus. In moving song, Peter shows
the anguish for his denial of Christ and the joy that comes with the Resurrection and His forgiveness.

The St. Patrick’s Family Players is a multi-denominational musical group from Watertown, Massachusetts, featuring over 100 performers from ages 3 to 80. The group, directed by Carly Johanson and Jean-Alfred Chavier, was founded by Judy Johanson in 1997 to perform “Resurrection” as part of Watertown’s St. Patrick Church’s 150th anniversary. Judy’s vision was to bring to Watertown the musical she had seen performed at a church in Boston and include it as part of their yearlong celebration.

From the single planned performance, this uplifting musical has become an Easter tradition. Friends from other churches who had seen the original performance wanted to share the moving experience with their own church. Ever since, the St.
Patrick’s Family Players travel and perform this musical experience of hope and faith in churches around Greater Boston and the New England area.

The St. Patrick’s Family Players have also taken their musical ministry to Ireland in 2000 and 2003, where they performed in Galway, Dublin, and Dingle, and to Italy in 2005 where they performed in Rome and Ciampino.

In 2007 the St. Patrick's Family Players opened their eleventh season by
performing "Resurrection" in California for its creator, Bryan Jeffery Leech. This
unique homecoming was a tribute to the lasting impact of Bryan's work and the special way he delivers God's message through song. The St. Patrick's Family Players wish to express their gratitude for the opportunity to share the joy of Christ's love as Bryan has brought it to us and to many others through his inspiring music.hat do you want to share?
