MA State PD Kicks Off Annual Toys for Tots Program

The Massachusetts State Police kicks off its annual effort on Wednesday, Nov. 13, to assist the United States Marine Corps in the Toys for Tots Program.

In what has become a holiday tradition for the Massachusetts State Police, Colonel Timothy P. Alben will be joined by Marines at 11 a.m. at the State Police Barracks in South Boston to launch this year's toy drive. Jolly Old Saint Nick may also make an appearance.

The MSP and USMC are asking donors to give new, unwrapped, non-violent toys, designed for either boys or girls, ages newborn to 12. As in years past, toys can be dropped off at any State Police Barracks through Saturday, Dec. 14. The MSP and USMC would like to remind the public the deadline for Toys for Tots ends two weeks after Thanksgiving.

Additionally, later this month the State Police will also be holding their annual Fill the Cruiser Event to support Toys for Tots at several Toys 'R' Us locations throughout Massachusetts. More details of that event will be announced at tomorrow's Toys for Tots kickoff.
