Jammin' Minute at Josiah Quincy

Second and third graders at the Josiah Quincy School are jump starting their school day with the Jammin' Minute Program complete with jumping jacks and leg squats. The Boston Public Schools Wellness Council and Partners HealthCare are collaborating to ensure that students throughout the BPS system are incorporating movement into their day. 100 schools have Wellness Champions that are engaging up to 40,000 students in various physical activities. Studies show that physical activity is a valuable part of the school day and can greatly contribute to students' academic success.
