Brownie is an active and fun-loving two-year-old mixed breed. She loves to play with other dogs during our morning playgroup and would likely do well living with another playful dog. This girl has a lot of energy to burn, and is looking for a home with an active family. She is very smart and loves to cuddle. Brownie would benefit greatly from attending a basic obedience class to help work on her manners. She is already walking better with the help of a gentle leader. Brownie loves to chase birds and squirrels, so would probably do best in a home without cats or small critters. This lady has a…

Meet Blue! Blue is a very gentle five-year-old neutered male cat. He is a sweet as can be, and if his “lap-cat” qualities don’t win you over, his striking blue eye will. Unfortunately, Blue was brought to the Animal Rescue League of Boston because his owner passed away. Blue can be very shy at first, but absolutely blossomed in his foster home, so now he is back and looking for his forever home. In his foster home he became a total love-bug, soliciting belly rubs! Blue would do best in a quiet home, and would even enjoy a home with another cat. For more information on Blue or any of the other…
MEET TOM HANKS! Nope, he's not the actor - he's a 7-month-old neutered male pit bull dog mix that is sweet and handsome as can be! Mr. Hanks was brought to the Animal Rescue League of Boston due to a living situation that prevented having pets in the home. He is still a puppy with boundless energy, so he needs lots of exercise and obedience training. Because of his rambunctious behavior he would do best in a home experienced with dogs, especially in puppy raising. Tom is very handsome and has the brains to go a long with it. He’s eager to please and will do anything for a treat.
Garfield is an affectionate and very handsome seven-year-old neutered male cat who was brought to the Animal Rescue League of Boston  because his owner became too ill to care for him. He enjoys being with people and is a wonderful lap cat. He can be playful but is a lower energy cat that would make a great companion for his new owner. Garfield definitely prefers human companionship to that of the feline variety, but with Garfield, one is all you need. Come visit and take Garfield home today!  For more information on Garfield or any of the other animals currently residing at the Animal Rescue…

And if you are into spinning, you could even make some very soft accessories, such as a hat, scarf, mittens, or if you’re patient, even a sweater. Come visit Popple today!
Vanilla is an adorable 4-year-old female Chihuahua looking for her forever home while here at the Animal Rescue League of Boston. She was brought to the shelter for her owners were moving and couldn’t bring her with them. Vanilla has a get-up-and-go personality, meaning she loves to go on long walks and explore new sights, sounds, and smells. She can be shy when first meeting new people, but warms up quickly, especially if one has yummy treats! Vanilla can hang out with other dogs, but doesn’t want to play with them. She would do best in a quiet, adult-only home, as a lot of activity can be …
Meet Maddie, an affectionate, playful, and energetic 1-year-old spayed female pit bull who was found as a stray in Boston. Maddie is a high-energy girl who loves to play. She's particularly fond of tennis balls. Maddie would do best as an only pup but could potentially do well with a dog that is compatible with her active play style. Maddie listens well and is very food-motivated, which makes training enjoyable. Due to her high energy, she will require continued behavioral training after she is adopted. She loves to exercise & enjoys going on long walks with her human friends! Contact the …
Freckles is a super sweet, mellow and absolutely adorable 8-year-old spayed female boxer mix. She was brought to the ARL in January because her previous home was not the right fit for her. Freckles would do well in a quiet home with older children or adults-only. She loves quiet attention from her human friends and would love a forever home where she receives plenty of love and affection. Freckles loves to lounge around on a nice warm dog bed, but she certainly loves long walks through the city. She walks well on leash and really enjoys the exercise. One of his favorite things to do is to snuggle on a lap after a nice walk and take a snooze. Simba doesn't like other dogs so he needs to be in a home where he is the only dog. Help give this lovely lady a chance! For more information or to meet with Chestnut, contact the Animal Rescue League of Boston Adoption Center today.
Meet Kirby, a 5-year-old neutered male basset hound mix of 36 pounds. His owner was very sad to bring him to us as he said they were very bonded.  He makes a wonderful companion animal, but would prefer to be the only object of your affection as he doesn't love other dogs. Kirby loves people and will jump up on your lap with his short little legs and give you kisses. He gets nervous around young children, so would do best in an adult only home. If you're interested in meeting him or any of the other dogs in the adoption center, please visit the Animal Rescue League of Boston Adoption Center …
