This past weekend I went to see the above-titled exhibit at Copley BPL. It was a fascinating snapshot of the Gateway District and connected neighborhoods at the presipice of change. When the Orange line moved from its perch above Washington Street several blocks away and underground, neighborhoods changed. While the commute from Dudley to downtown increased more than two-fold, commercial opportunities in the South End presented themselves where shadows once loomed. The debate over Light Rail versus Bus Rapid Transit found passionate advocates on each side, representing polarizing community interests. I wonder what are people's thoughts today?
