YOUR TURN: Where Would You Put Recycling Bins in the South End?
Where would recycling bins do the most good?
Boston's about to add 400 solar-powered recycling compactors across the city, but they won't go everywhere. City officials said the bins will go in high-traffic areas and not necessarily in residential blocks. And they won't go into parks because the bins have advertising on their sides.
What do you think? If you were in charge of placing these bins in the neighborhood, where would they go? Tell us in the comments below.

next to every city trash can. is it really a stretch to think these receptacles should come in pairs? you do it in your home, in your office, and in every other major city. 1 trash can, 1 recycling can. these solar powered units are nice but expensive. all we really need is a blue trash can.

Agreed. if they are stand-alone, people will use them as trash cans....
