Man Found Dead on West Canton Street

Boston Police have launched a homicide investigation.

A man was found dead on West Canton Street in the South End on Sunday morning, according to the Boston Police Department. 

Homicide detectives are now investigating the man's death. 

Police said they were called to the scene at 6:38 a.m. on Sunday. Police said they observed a white male wearing a brown sweater, blue jeans, brown coat, brown boat shoes and red hat lying face down on the stairs.

The man was pronounced deceased on scene, police said. No visible injuries or trauma were observed on the victim, police said.
