Five Things: 'Ted' Filming Resumes Today

Indoor and outdoor scenes will be shot at the Union United Methodist Church on Columbus Avenue.

1. More rain and colder temperatures today with highs in the upper 40s. Chance of rain is near 100% and winds will be a steady 15 mph.

2. Filming for the resumes today in the South End, with a full day of shooting scheduled at on Columbus Ave. "No Parking" signs have been hung along portions of Columbus Ave. and on nearby side streets. Any residents affected by the parking shortage should call Assistant Location Manager Kai Quinlan at (323) 360-2580 for a garage voucher.

3. Parking will also be limited during Wednesday's scheduled visit by President Obama. Obama is scheduled to attend a fundraiser at the Cyclorama at 3 p.m. We'll have details on what to expect later today.

4. Want to sound off on accessibility issues in the city? The Boston Commission for Persons with Disabilities is hosting a reception on Thursday, May 19 from 1 - 4 p.m. in the main conference room of the Boston Redevelopment Authority on the 9th floor of City Hall. Guests will have a chance to meet the city's new Commissioner, Kristen McCosh, and share their thoughts about improving access and inclusion throughout the city.

5. The is looking for volunteers for its book sale this Saturday. Hundreds of hardcover and paperback books will be for sale at the Library park from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday. If you can help out, just stop by the library and speak with a member of the staff.
