Five Horses Tavern Coming into Former Columbus Cafe Space

The restaurant and bar in Davis Square is expanding into the South End neighborhood.

The South End will welcome a new bar and restaurant to Columbus Avenue in the coming months, in the space once occupied by Columbus Cafe.

Five Horses Tavern, a Somerville restaurant located in Davis Square, is expanding with a second location at 535 Columbus Avenue in the South End.

The new bar and restaurant will reportedly be similar to its location in Davis Square, serving microbrews and craft beer, and Amercian comfort food, according to Boston food blog Eater. The renovated space will feature a dining room, bar, and outdoor patio, with accordian style windows that will open up completely during the warmer months.
