MI CASA BEE CASA: CINCO DE MAYO
Where/When: , Thursday, 5 p.m. - 2 a.m.
Why Go: So FYI, Cinco de Mayo celebrates the Mexican army’s unlikely victory over the French in 1862 and not Mexico’s Independence Day (that’s September 16). Always helps to know what you’re raising your margarita glass to! Live music by Aquas-Aquas with Rafael Alcala and Mariachi International. View The Beehive’s special Cinco de Mayo menu here.

BOSTON BAKES FOR BREAST CANCER
Where/When: Thursday-Sunday
Why Go: Over 250 restaurants, bakeries, and chocolatiers across the Boston area are offering special dessert creations from which 100% of the proceeds go to benefit breast cancer research. Participating South End restaurants include , , , , , and South End Buttery. Complete list available here.

MOMMIE ‘N ME POLE DANCING CLASS
Where/When: Gypsy Rose Dancing Studio, Friday, 7:30 p.m. & 9 p.m.; Sunday, 9 a.m., 10:30 a.m., noon, 1:30 p.m., 3 p.m.
Why Go: Don’t let the name throw you—mommie ‘n me pole dancing class is for the 18+ crowd only. We can pretty much guarantee this is going to be way more memorable than last year's brunch. Reserve your spot in class here.

BYE BYE BALLOON CHILDREN’S BOOK SIGNING
Where/When: Sean Boyce Studios, Saturday, 2 p.m. - 4 p.m.
Why Go: Written by New England Author Ryan SanAngelo (you might be familiar with his Spaghetti Eddie) and illustrated by Boston artist Sean Boyce, Bye Bye Balloon chronicles the world travels of a courageous balloon through Boyce’s vibrant oil paintings. LAUNCH OF THAYER STREET OUTDOOR CONCERT SERIES
Where/When: 560 Harrison Avenue, Saturday, 4 p.m. - 6 p.m.
Why Go: JazzBoston has teamed up with SOWA Artists Guild (the folks behind First Fridays) to launch a series of jazz concerts/art exhibits running each Saturday through October. This week’s concert features improv jazz ensemble, Your Neighborhood Saxophone Quartet.
