Blog: Italian Restaurant Moving to Former Rocca Space

According to BosGuy, the new eatery is an Aquitaine Group project.

Local blogger BosGuy reports a new Italian restaurant will open in the former Rocca space on Harrison Avenue.

The Aquitaine Group, which already operates four restaurants in the South End (Gaslight, Aquitaine, Union Bar and Grille and Metropolis Cafe), is reportedly behind the venture.

No word yet on when the restaurant will open, although construction has begun on the space, which includes an outdoor patio.

Rocca, the former home of Top Chef contestant Tiffani Faison, has been vacant since the restaurant closed for business in January on the heels of nearby Ginger Park. A month later, Washington Street's Bombay Club closed abruptly as well.

Thanks Alix. I can hardly wait. I'm a HUGE fan of the Aquitaine Group's other properties in the South End and will be anxiously awaiting the arrival of this new Italian restaurant.
