South End Resident Helps Raise $50K for Boys & Girls Clubs of Boston
Boys & Girls Clubs of Boston’s Friends Council members Ashley Wisneski of Back Bay and Mike DiMella of the South End at the BGCB’s annual event “A Night With Friends” fundraiser. This year’s event exceeded its goal of raising $50,000 for Boston and Chelsea youth. Ashley serves as a BGCB Overseer and Mike was the event's co-chairmen. The Friends Council is a group for young professionals which provides networking opportunities for the City’s future leaders who share a desire to help urban youth. Guest enjoyed a performance from the Jordan Boys & Girls Club’s dancers, a silent auction, raffle and danced to music provided by DJ Dre Soundz. PHOTO CREDIT: Dana Bisbee

Mike DiMella of the South End recently served as a co-chairman of this year’s Boys & Girls Clubs of Boston (BGCB) “Friends Council” fundraiser at the Ritz Charlton, Boston. The event exceed its goal of raising $50,000 to help bolster aquatic programs at all of the BGCB Clubs, so that all members learn to swim. The Friends Council is BGCB’s networking group for young professionals who are interested in philanthropy and provides networking opportunities for the City’s future leaders who share a desire to help urban youth.
