PadMatcher.com Launches to Revolutionize Boston Rental Market

A new start-up company PadMatcher, Inc. aims to revolutionize the apartment rental process in Boston through the release of a social networking real estate website PadMatcher.com. With over 10 years of experience in the Boston rental market, the Company’s founders have found a way to address the concerns of renters, agents, and landlords.

PadMatcher.com links renters, agents, and landlords though a new social networking platform similar to Match.com and the popular Craigslist.org, only with features tailored to the apartment and roommate searcher. The site is free for renters to create profiles and search for apartments. Once a profile is created, a renter can actively search for roommates or apartments. Renters have the ability to contact listing agents directly and anonymously. If a renter prefers a more laid back approach, he/she can receive messages from agents and landlords about apartments that match their criteria. Renters can upgrade their profiles by pulling their credit rating for a minimal fee. All of which according to CEO Eric Chavin “takes the guess work out of apartment search”.

For a real estate agent, PadMatcher.com instantly provides an enormous database of qualified clients whose wants and needs is no longer a guessing game. This is a dream for rental agents considering that a typical day consists of hours spent advertising a property, and waiting for people to respond. “Client loyalty in the rental market is pretty low and it is not uncommon for a client to work with numerous agents. Clients primarily care about who has access to what property,” said PadMatcher CEO, Eric Chauvin. The website screens potential renters and removes anyone who does not meet the qualifications of the listing. In addition, if the listing matches with a lot of people the agent can screen renters based on factors such as credit rating and financial viability. “As a rental agent I found it really frustrating to go through the whole rental process only to find out the applicant has poor credit or is attempting to live outside their means,” said PadMatcher president Chris Heller.

PadMatcher’s emphasis on accurate, real-time listings is another feature apartment searchers will find beneficial. Renters have the ability to flag listings that are no longer available and also rate an agent’s performance. “PadMatcher is really attempting to reinvent the Boston apartment rental business. We are also very aware of the issues students face when searching for an apartment in Boston,” said PadMatcher president Chris Heller. PadMatcher is confident that this new service will greatly improve the experience of looking for your new abode.

PadMatcher is a high-energy real estate start-up company focused on improving the apartment rental process.  It is a privately held company based in Boston, Massachusetts.
