Boston Children’s Chorus Gives Gift of Song: More Than 1600 Attend Holiday Concert
450 Singers Perform at BCC’s 10th Anniversary Season Holiday Concert
Boston, MA- On Saturday, December 8th over 1600 people packed into the Cathedral of the Holy Cross in Boston’s South End to watch over 450 BCC singers perform their Holiday concert. The building burst with festive energy as the full force of the Boston Children’s Chorus treated the crowed to uplifting songs of the season.
Ding Dong! Merrily On High, I’ll Be Home for Christmas, African Noel and new BCC anthem, We Sing, lifted the roof along with other classics. In its tenth anniversary season, this was BCC’s biggest concert ever with a record number of singers on stage, and a record audience.
“The Holiday Concert is a BCC favorite,” said David Howse, Executive Director. “It is a great opportunity for us to put the whole organization on show, and the singers always deliver a high level of performance. It was a special show that captured the warmth of the festive season and we thank everyone who contributed.”
Up next in this 10th Anniversary Season is the Dr. Martin Luther King, Junior Tribute Concert. This celebration of Dr. King is the signature MLK event in Boston. Tickets for the very special event go on sale next week.
